Custom orthotics are prescription devices made for your feet. They may help selected patients with flat feet, overpronation, leg-length differences, chronic pain, or a need to offload a sensitive area. Bracing may be appropriate for certain stability, tendon, or joint concerns.
What to Expect
Your first visit includes a history and foot and ankle examination. Dr. Vinogradov will discuss whether a custom device is appropriate; a mold or scan may be used when prescribed. Coverage and device benefits vary by insurance plan.
Care is individualized.
Store-bought insoles and prescription orthotics are not interchangeable, and no single device is right for every patient.
