Ingrown Toenail Care

Evaluation and individualized care for painful, recurring, or infected ingrown toenails.

What Is an Ingrown Toenail?

An ingrown toenail occurs when the edge of a nail grows into the surrounding skin. It may cause pain, redness, or swelling and can sometimes become infected.

Evaluation & Care Options

Mild cases may respond to nail-care guidance, while recurring, painful, or infected nails may need professional treatment. Depending on the examination, an in-office procedure under local anesthesia may be discussed. The recommended approach and recovery depend on the individual case.

When to Call

Call the office for prompt guidance if pain, redness, swelling, or drainage is worsening, especially if you have diabetes, reduced sensation, or circulation concerns. Call 911 for an emergency.
