Heel Pain & Plantar Fasciitis

Evaluation and individualized care for heel pain in Newport and Dandridge.

What Can Cause Heel Pain?

Plantar fasciitis is one possible cause of heel pain. It often causes discomfort with the first steps in the morning or after sitting, but heel pain can have other causes. An examination helps determine which diagnosis and care options fit your situation.

Evaluation & Care Options

During an office visit, an evaluation may include a medical history, foot and ankle examination, and imaging when appropriate. Depending on the visit findings, care may include footwear or activity changes, stretching or physical-therapy guidance, orthotics, anti-inflammatory treatment, injections, or a procedure for selected cases.

No single treatment is right for every patient, and results and recovery vary.

When to Call

Consider an evaluation when heel pain persists, limits activity, or is worsening. Call the office for prompt guidance after an injury or if you cannot bear weight. Call 911 for an emergency.
